Sea|mester requires that all participanting students become members of Divers Alert Network. Basic D.A.N. membership is $29.00 for US residents. In the unlikely event of an emergency, D.A.N. will liaise with local medical centers and organize immediate air transport to the best facilities. 'Travel Assist' is the major benefit of the annual D.A.N. membership and provides worldwide medical emergency transport for both diving and non-diving incidents. Should your present medical insurance policy not cover diving activities, D.A.N. also offers dive accident insurance programs which will increase the diver's coverage in addition to the automatic D.A.N. 'Travel Assist' benefits.
